Specific Terms : Contests

Standard Terms & Conditions: Actve Games

1. “Active account status” means a positive account balance in your Subscriber Account.
2. “Valid entry” means a code sent via sms by You in the correct prescribed format.
3. “ Contest” means the contest of playing the game and submitting the game score in order to win the prize.
4. Terms used herein but not defined shall have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Subscription Contract signed between You and Tata Sky.

1. The Contest is open ONLY to Tata Sky subscribers with an Active account status both at the time of participation and selection.
2. Tata Sky employees and their relatives, Tata Sky business associates including its dealers and advertising agencies and anyone else who may be involved with the Contest cannot participate in this Contest.
3. Tata Sky reserves the right, at any time, to verify eligibility requirements, in any manner deemed appropriate. Only a Valid entry will be eligible for selection for the prize.
4. You must (i) be a resident of India (ii) be above 18 years of age (iii) have a valid PAN card and (iv) have a Subscriber Account with an Active account status to qualify and participate in the Contest.

1. For each of the Contests, the participant with the highest score shall be the winner. After a participant wins once, then for every subsequent win thereafter, there should be a minimum interval of 180 days from the date of the previous win for that particular game.
2. The name of the winner will be announced in the ‘Game Guru’ section on the Actve Games service by 12 noon, on the day following the closing date of the Contest.
3. The results generated will be final and binding.

1. The prize is not exchangeable for cash or any other offer.
2. The winner shall be contacted via phone at the phone number mentioned in the Tata Sky records.
3. Tata Sky shall also send a letter to the winner at the address mentioned in the Tata Sky records requesting for a list of documents to be presented by the winner to claim the prize. Non-submission of necessary documents shall lead to disqualification of the winner and an alternative winner shall be chosen thereafter.
4. If Tata Sky is not able to contact the winner at the phone number or the address mentioned in the Tata Sky records by midnight seven days after Tata Sky 's first attempted notification, Tata Sky reserves the right to select an alternative winner and the original winner's entitlement to the prize will lapse.
5. Tata Sky will send the prize to the winner within one month of declaring the winner; The prizes shall be delivered to the winner at the Subscriber Address entered in the Tata Sky records.  Tata Sky shall not be liable for delayed delivery or any damage caused to the prize during delivery. In the event of damage caused to the prize during delivery, winner(s) must take up this matter directly with the manufacturer / dealer. Tata Sky shall not be liable for any defect or deficiency in the prize. You acknowledge that the prizes are provided on an “as is basis” and You agree to contact the manufacturer / dealer directly for any quality, repair or warranty related issues.

1. You may send as many entries as you wish.
2. You must sms your score to 56633.
3. SMS rates will be applicable as per the tariff of Your mobile service provider.
4. For every Valid Entry sent, a fee will be charged to Your Subscriber Account as participation fee.
5. SMS entries for the Contest sent after the closure of the Contest Period will not be considered.
6. Any participant who manipulates the Contest in any manner shall be liable for disqualification at the sole discretion of Tata Sky. In such event Tata Sky shall not be liable to consider even a Valid entry sent by the participant thereafter.
7. Tata Sky reserves the right at anytime, without prior notice, to add or vary all or any of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part this Contest or to withdraw it completely.
8. Tata Sky will have the right to use the image of the winners in any promotional material. By entering the Contest, You agree that in the event you are selected as the winner, You shall participate in any promotional activity(ies) and/or have Your name and likeness featured in any promotional material as Tata Sky may require.
9. The payment/credit of the prize shall be subject to deduction of applicable withholding taxes as per Indian Income Tax Laws
10. The winner will be responsible for any other relevant taxes arising from the receipt of the prize.
11. Tata Sky will not be liable for any loss, damage or cancellation of this Contest caused by events beyond its reasonable control including war, natural calamities, floods, failure of telecommunication network, etc.
12. You consent to comply with these terms and conditions and waive any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and conditions and release, indemnify and hold harmless Tata Sky and its respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and its respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from participation in the Contest (including but not limited to any misuse  of the prize by the winner).
13. You acknowledge and agree that all disputes in relation to the Contest shall be subject to Delhi jurisdiction.  
14. Tata Sky is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Contest related materials; or for transactions that are lost, misdirected, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, paper transfer, mail system, human or other error; or for electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction or error, including inability to access any web site associated with this Contest, or process any transaction thereon.
15. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all applicable mandatory national, state and local laws.

2. The following persons cannot participate in this Contest:

2. Contest Partner & its Affiliates
3. Tata Sky business associates including its dealers and advertising agencies and
2. Anyone else who may be involved with the Contest.
3. Tata Sky reserves the right, at any time, to verify eligibility requirements, in any manner deemed appropriate. Only a Valid entry with correct answers to the questions will be eligible for the prize selection process.
4. You must (i) be a resident of India (ii) be above 18 years of age and (iii) have a valid PAN card to participate in the Contest.

1. To participate in the Contest, you must answer the  Contest question/s. Upon answering the question, a code will be generated on your TV screen. You must sms this code to 56633
2. The winner/s shall be selected from amongst the pool of participants with the correct answers via a random computer generated process under the supervision of a special panel.
3. The results generated will be final and binding.

15. In case of any conflict between the Standard Terms and the Specific Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail
