From Grandparents to Grandchildren: something for everyone in the family

November 13, 2007: Tata Sky Ltd., the JV between the TATA Group and STAR, today announced the launch of three new interactive services Actve Darshan, Actve Learning and Actve Stories. With the introduction of these three services, Tata Sky has extended its interactive offering to every member of the family.

Actve Darshan, launched in partnership with STAR News, gives viewers darshan of the ISKCON temple, Juhu and the Shirdi Sai Baba temple on their TV, throughout the day. The content for this service is provided by 24x7guru.com (2) Actve Stories is a TV based story book that children can read and listen to at their own pace. The service features new stories in English and Hindi everyday from the Panchatantra, Jataka tales and Hitopadesh.

Commenting on the launch of these services, Mr Vikram Kaushik, MD & CEO, Tata Sky Ltd. said, “It has been our constant endeavour to make television viewing a wholesome experience for the entire family. With the launch of the three new services, our interactive offering now includes education, cooking, quizzing, astrology, darshan and more, ensuring that we have something special for every member of the family right from the 3 year old child to the 80 year old grand parents.”
