Can I send this SMS from any mobile number?
No. This facility is available only for ICICI Bank Savings Account customers. You would need to send the SMS from your phone number that is registered with your ICICI Bank account.
I have more than one ICICI Bank account. Which account do I use for this recharge service?
You may use any ICICI Bank account for this recharge service provided the phone number you are using to send the SMS is registered with that bank account.
Can I use any other Bank's account for this service.
No, this service is available only for ICICI Bank customers.
What is the minimum and maximum amount that I can recharge using SMS?
The minimum amount for Tata Sky recharge is Rs 20. The maximum amount for a day is Rs 1500. You can recharge upto a maximum of Rs 5000 per month.
Can I recharge for any amount (any value between the minimum and maximum) on this service? E.g.,: can I recharge for Rs 443 or for Rs 2020?
Yes, you can recharge for any amount between the minimum and the maximum amounts stated above. So, while you can recharge for Rs 443, your recharge for Rs 2020 will fail as it exceeds the daily limit of Rs 1500.
How many times can I recharge my Tata Sky connection using this service?
You may recharge as many times as you want till your total recharge amounts are within the daily or monthly limits.
What is the cost of using this service?
Zero. This service is being provided free of any charges by Tata Sky and ICICI Bank. SMS charges levied by your phone operator will be applicable for sending the SMS.
How is this service different with Tata Sky recharge service available over Internet sites and mobile apps?
You do not need any access to computers and Internet or GPRS-enabled smartphones to use this service. Just one SMS and your Tata Sky connection is recharged.
What if I wrongly spell Tata Sky? E.g., “Tata Sky” or “TATA” instead of TATASKY.
The name TATASKY should be typed as a single word without any space. Other spellings may lead to failure of the recharge.
What if I enter an invalid Subscriber's ID while doing the recharge?
Your account will be debited by the request amount immediately. If you entered an invalid Subscriber's ID while doing recharge, the amount will be credited back to your account within 72 hours.
What if I recharge a wrong Subscriber's ID?
In case a wrong Subscriber's ID has been recharged due to wrong entry by you, the amount will not be credited back to your account. We advise you to be careful while entering the Subscriber's ID for recharge.
